Rodchata Does Hawaii - December 19-23, 2007


On the weekend of December 19-23, 2007, the people at Hawaii Dance Sensation are bringing and flying Rodchata for to teach his popular Bachata Dance Workshops!

Solely responsible for popularizing bachata dance in the Bay Area, and a contributor to the exposure of the bachata dance in United States, Rodney "Rodchata" Aquino is a popular and entertaining Latin dance teacher in the United States. He is the founder of Salsagang.com, Rodchata.com, iTimba.com and CEO of Rodchata Enterprises. He had been dancing and teaching Latin dance for 13 years and is considered to be the foremost authority in bachata dancing. He holds a Masters Degree in Psychology, a certified Personal Fitness Trainer and holds 4th Degree Black Belt in the Martial Arts.

 He will be teaching Basic to Advance Bachata Workshops:

Level 1 -Intro to  Bachata Dance Styles 

You'll learn basic movements of the different  styles of  bachata. What is the traditional, original and modern style of bachata; You'd learn basic drills and exercises to help you build a good foundation in these dances. Learn when to tap and when to bump. Learn timing. Learn some of the original merengue and bachata moves.


Level 2 - Bachata Progressive

Proper Connection is a must! You will learn the secret of leading and following. Learn to use the whole dance floor. Advance movements with body rolls, shoulder rolls and hip shakes. Learn Close Range motion with sexy moves. Learn creative advance and modern moves. When to pause during the music. When to apply certain moves during a dance and much more. How to dance good bachata while not moving a single step - and much more!
